This year, Canon has been very adventurous with its camera designs. The new Canon Powershot S90IS 10MP digital camera may not have the most powerful specs in the market but it is surely a point-and-shoot model to look out for in terms of design.

This is a compact little model, measuring at just 3.9 x 2.3 x 1.9 inches and weighing at 6.2 ounces. Overall, the Canon Powershot S90IS 10MP digital camera sports a stylish retro design, complete with a sleek black matte finish and a pop-up flash on the top of the camera. This model will definitely appeal to the style conscious consumer. Unlike many other camera models, such as Sony compact digital cameras that has ultra-modern designs, the Canon Powershot S90IS 10MP digital camera has a rather timeless design that I personally just love!

The Canon Powershot S90IS 10MP digital camera comes with a 10MP image sensor. It also comes with a 3.8x optical zoom. This model uses a f/2.0 lens that is perfect for taking pictures in low lighting conditions. It is also a wide-angle lens that enables you to capture more in every shot. Behind the camera, you will find a huge 3″ LCD display. It has an anti-reflection coating and a wide viewing angle that allows you take shots at odd angle.

The Canon Powershot S90IS digital camera ships with a battery pack, manuals, neck strap, USB cable and an AV cable. At the time of writing, this model is not released yet but is available for pre-order. It is currently already one of the best-selling cameras on the internet.

Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera – A Quick Review

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

When you want high-quality pictures with an easy-to-use, low hassle camera, the Canon Powershot SX10IS is the camera for you. Not only do you get brilliant photos, this Powershot offers room to grow with custom settings in a simple layout and format. Perhaps in the future you’ll want to be able to set aperture priority. That’s not a problem with the SX10IS.

The picture quality exceeds its previous versions at higher ISOs, as the Powershot has continually improved in this category. The face detection software also has seen vast improvements and the lighting and tone come in clear. Now the Powershot reduces red-eye without the use of the reduction lamp (that red light blinking just before snapping the shot).

One of the features that sets the SX10IS apart from its competitors is the flip-out, rotating viewfinder. This allows for less intrusiveness while trying to catch that perfect portrait, among many other advantages you will immediate find when you pick up the SX10IS.

The SD card is located separately from the battery compartment that, for those that have use previous versions of the Powershot know how cumbersome it can be to try to access the card in that location. Now you can simply slide the card in and out for a few quick pictures and then print from an SD-ready printer.

Now that we’ve mentioned the battery, it’s important to note that the Powershot SX10IS has a low battery warning unlike some previous versions, which is helpful at times when you’re on the run and about to go to that special event where you really need your camera.

With a 28mm wide-angle lens, you can capture those up-close and personal or large group shots that you want. The crisp 20X zoom is also a great benefit as it delivers focused pictures from a distance.

The controls on the SX10IS are conveniently located with a dedicated on/off button and scroll wheel. There is also a separate video button for those moments when action grabs your attention in an instant and you don’t want to fiddle with menus to get to take a video. The Powershot SX10IS is another in a long line of excellent Powershot models and continues to build on the previous ones, and certainly continues to improve.

Canon Powershot E1 Pink Digital Camera Review

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

I have had this camera for a little over a week now and I am totally in love. Here is a list of the things that I have found about this camera that I absolutely love:

1. This camera takes pictures fast, so you can capture the exact picture you were going for, not the picture 3-5 seconds after your perfect shot.

2. The Canon Powershot E1 Pink Digital Camera takes regular AA rechargeable batteries and it has the ability to turn the LCD screen off and the viewfinder capability allows you to save your battery power if you need to.

3. It’s overall design is extremely intuitive and simple to use.

4. The pictures that this camera takes are clear and detailed pictures.

5. The zoom on this camera allows you to get surprisingly close to your candid subject.

6. It even comes with a recording feature that allows you to catch any moment on video quickly and easily.

The only problem with this camera is that it is a little bigger than some of the other camera’s in its class on the market today, however, that does not take anything away from the quality pictures that this camera produces. If you are looking for a smaller camera get ready to pay for it. All in all, I would like to highly recommend this camera as a great point and shoot digital camera. It is easily my favorite camera out of the 6 other digital cameras I have owned.

Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera – An Honest Review

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Personally, I think that Canon makes some of the best cameras out there. If you are planning to get your self a high-zoom model ( mega-zoom camera), consider the Canon Powershot SX10IS. This model comes with a 20x optical zoom lens and a wide variety of very useful features. It comes with the latest imaging features such as the DIGIC 4 processor, face detection timer, auto contrast correction and much more.

The Canon Powershot SX10IS digital camera is the size of any typical mega-zoom unit. It weighs a little heavier to its predecessor at about 1.5 pounds, but sports a more practical design. It now sports a more curvy design with rounded edges. This new model has a pretty big grip, giving you a firm hold of the device. The big grip hides the casing for 4 AA batteries.

The placement of the easy access buttons (to review modes etc.) and the configuration of the menu has been significantly improved on this new model. The layout on the Canon Powershot SX10IS digital camera is very user friendly and it now comes with a rotating dial and an improved four-way navigation button on the back. There is also a record button dedicated to recording videos.

Currently, the Canon Powershot SX10IS digital camera is currently one of the fastest mega-zoom models in the market. When it is switched one, the camera is ready to shoot within about 1.5 seconds. Under good lighting conditions, the camera can focus and shoot within about half a second and about 0.8 seconds in darker ambiance lighting. It also comes with a rotating 2.5-inch LCD screen to help you take shots at odd angles.

Canon Powershot SD 1200-IS Digital Camera Review – Professional Pictures, Cheap Price

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

I recently purchased a Canon Powershot SD 1200-IS. It is a small handheld camera that comes in a variety of vibrant colors. So far, it’s a great camera.

The lens is powerful, even though it’s compact. I love it for the most part, though I wish it could get a little closer for my macro shots. The flash is strong and it takes decent pictures in low-light situations. I think this camera is best for someone who wants a point-and-shoot, but also someone who wants to be able to customize the settings. They have a Program function, where you can customize things like the ISO, zoom, width of pictures, pixels, colors, etc.

Overall, this is a great camera by Canon, with images coming out crystal clear. The camera does best in situations in outdoor light. I took a picture of a flower outside, and it looks professional. I put it on the macro setting and got close to a bee pollinating the flower, and honestly it looks like it belongs in a magazine.

This was within 24 hours of purchasing it, which shows how easy it is to master.

The camera has many outdoor settings such as kids, fireworks, night, sports, etc. These are great for beginners who aren’t sure what setting is necessary for their environment. The camera is economical with a price of $150 when I got it.

Another feature that I really appreciate is the IS. IS means image stabilization. This is a great help for people with shaky hands, such as myself. It’s hard to get a blurry picture because of hand movement with this camera. I do not regret buying this camera at all.
