When choosing a niche to go into, many people recommend staying within the health, wealth and happiness niches. This is because these three affiliate marketing niches are what everybody desires in life.
Think about it, everybody wants good health; they want to be wealthy and also happy. Because these are the basic desires of humans, it stands to reason that most people will be willing to spend some money to fulfill their desires in these three areas.
In theory the health, wealth and happiness niches are emotionally charged and relatively easy to sell to.

For a newcomer to Internet marketing I would personally recommend staying away from the wealth market. There is so much competition within this niche and it’s best to steer clear of it until you are earning at least $100 per day in other affiliate marketing niches.
The health market is still fair game even though there is still quite a bit of competition in this niche.
One thing you have to bear in mind when choosing a product within this niche is whether or not the person would actually buy the product instead of going to see a doctor. With serious health conditions a person is more likely to go and consult a doctor rather than buying an eBook from the Internet.
Health niches that cater to embarrassing illnesses are a good target. If someone has an embarrassing illness or disease, sometimes they will do anything they can to avoid going to the doctor, thus making them an easy target for an eBook that promises to help them with their embarrassing problem.
The happiness niche is very broad. Many different things bring happiness to people in different ways. Most people think about relationships when talking about the happiness niche. Getting your ex back is an emotionally charged niche which has become very popular in the last couple of years.
Personally if I was just starting out again in Internet marketing I would choose an evergreen niche. Something with low competition that is likely to remain popular for a longtime.
The best advice is try choosing a niche that you are comfortable with and that you know something about. Make sure there are good products within the niche that people will actually spend their money on.
